AFK supports German Federal Labour Agency with “pens for apPrENtices” initiative

New apprenticeship training positions and enhanced apprentice qualifications were the goals of the German nationwide campaign “ApPrENtices secure the future”. German Federal Labour Agency commissioned AFK to design the look for the campaign. The result: pins with a bright red pen.

Federal Minister Olaf Scholz and Labour Agency board member Raimund Becker have already pinned their badges on: These plastic pins are the symbol for the “ApPrENtices secure the future” campaign launched by German Federal Labour Agency. They represent the solidarity between employers and apprentices during difficult times. There is a special reason for the shape of the badge: In Germany, an apprentice was traditionally called “pen”. The Labour Agency therefore decided to adopt this double meaning for their joint campaign with AFK.

The apprenticeship campaign was brought to the public in a large truck which toured through 20 German cities. Using the motto “ApPrENtices secure the future”, the campaign team distributed a huge quantity of red pen pins. The initiative was well received: almost all attendees used the symbol designed by AFK to show their support for the project.
